Türkiye’s energy sector is at a pivotal moment. Over the past decade, the country has tripled its renewable electricity generation, now accounting for over half of its installed power capacity. This transformation positions the energy sector as a key driver of green growth.
United Nations Development Programme’s Istanbul International Centre for Private Sector in Development (UNDP ICPSD) and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s (EBRD)jointed initiative the ‘Skills for an Inclusive Future (S4IF)’ Network and Enerjisa Enerji jointly announced the initiative on “Promoting Green and Digital Skills Development in Türkiye’s Energy Sector” during a side event at the COP29’s Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) Pavilion on November 16th, 2024, in Baku, Azerbaijan.
